Join in, speak up is a very diverse method, which pays considerable attention to the real world. The children are encouraged to engage in building friendships with children from around the world. They are directed in composing hand written letters of introduction. Followed by explanations of there school with there favourite subjects and area that they live. Family and friends are described and traditions and culture are also explored. The children will also exchange art work as gifts and an importance is placed on revision and expansion of the normal class work. There will also be a considerable amount of role play and acting out of past and new language learnt. Bringing learning to life and life into learning is paramount.
